Editorial Policy
International Journal of Education and History Research (ETA Journal)

Our journal adopts an Open Access policy. All submitted manuscripts are initially evaluated by the editor. Manuscripts that comply with the journal’s submission guidelines and formatting requirements are sent to two independent reviewers, and the peer review process begins. If the reviewers provide conflicting recommendations, the manuscript is sent to a third reviewer. Manuscripts that successfully complete the peer review process are placed in a publication queue and are published in the issue corresponding to their order in the queue.

The journal does not charge any submission, processing, or DOI fees. All submissions are screened for plagiarism using the Turnitin similarity detection software.

⚙ Review Procedure

  • Manuscripts submitted to the journal are first examined by a preliminary review editor.
  • The manuscript is then forwarded to the language and copy editors.
  • Language and copy editors examine whether the manuscript complies with the journal’s formatting and language requirements. During this stage, the author may be asked to make revisions.
  • After the author completes the requested revisions, the manuscript is forwarded to the editor.
  • At this stage, the editor may assign a field editor responsible for managing the evaluation process.
  • The editor sends the manuscript to at least two reviewers who are experts in the relevant field and who are affiliated with different universities.
  • Reviewers are given 15 days to complete their evaluations. This period may be extended by the editor when necessary. If delays occur, additional reviewers may be appointed.
  • Based on the reviewers’ reports, the editor may request revisions from the author.
  • If the editor determines that the author has satisfactorily addressed the reviewers’ comments, the manuscript is accepted for publication. Otherwise, the manuscript is rejected.
  • If the reviewers provide conflicting recommendations, a third reviewer is assigned. The editorial board makes the final decision based on the third review.
  • Authors may appeal reviewer decisions by providing evidence and justification. If the editorial board accepts the appeal, the manuscript may be evaluated by an additional reviewer.
  • Once a manuscript is accepted, it proceeds to the final proofreading stage. Additional revisions may be requested at this stage if necessary. After the final proofreading process is completed, the manuscript is sent to the layout editors and then placed in the publication queue.
