Open Citation Policy (I4OC Compliance)

Open Citation Policy (I4OC Compliance)
International Journal of Education and History Research (ETA Journal)

ETA Journal advocates for the free circulation of scientific knowledge and the transparency of the research ecosystem. Accordingly, our journal fully adopts and implements the principles of the I4OC (Initiative for Open Citations), which aims to make citation data publicly available, machine-readable, and freely reusable without any restrictions.

✔ I4OC Core Standards

The bibliographies (citation data) of all articles published in ETA Journal are structured in accordance with the core standards set by I4OC:

  • Structured: The citation data in our articles is compiled in machine-readable formats (such as XML) via our publishing platform and is technically processable.
  • Separable: Our citation data is directly accessible and verifiable at the metadata level, independent of the article's full text (PDF, HTML, etc.).
  • Open: ETA Journal completely submits the reference lists of every published article, along with their respective DOI records, to Crossref. This data is universally and freely provided as open access without any copyright or access barriers.

❗ Important Note for Our Authors (MLA Format)

To maximize our journal's visibility within the open citation network and the measurability of your publications in international citation indexes (Scopus, Web of Science, etc.), the bibliographies of submitted studies must strictly adhere to MLA (Modern Language Association) standards. Incomplete or incorrectly formatted bibliographies may result in the failure to accurately transfer your citation data to the Crossref system and prevent its inclusion in the I4OC network.
