ETA Journal has established the following policies regarding the relationship between submitted articles and the use of artificial intelligence tools and/or AI-supported programs:
In the "Generative AI" section provided at the end of the article, information must be detailed regarding which AI tool was used, which sections it was used for and how, and what purpose it served. If no such usage occurred, the statement “No artificial intelligence tools were used in this study” must be written.
Any ethical and scientific issues, as well as scientific responsibilities that may arise regarding the use of AI in the research and writing process of the article, belong solely to the author(s).
If the subject of the research is artificial intelligence itself, the obtained data, visuals, and manipulated ideas and visuals can be considered within the scope of evaluating the AI. Otherwise, information and visual manipulation through the use of AI in studies not related to AI is considered an ethical violation.
Due to the suspicion that authors' personal rights and the copyright of the studies might be violated, articles cannot be uploaded to AI tools by reviewers, and reviewers cannot utilize AI tools during the review processes.
Editors, excluding language editors, cannot utilize AI tools in relation to the evaluation processes. Language editors, however, may use AI tools solely to correct spelling errors and improve expressions.
