The Covid-19 pandemic, which first appeared in our country in March 2020, has changed our education system that we are used to and has caused us to switch to the online education model, which many of us are unfamiliar with. In this process, it was thought that the students and academicians studying in departments such as architecture, fine arts and medicine faculties, which gave practice-based education, would have difficulties, and in this context, it was decided by YÖK to give these courses at the most appropriate time, including the extension of the calendar to be determined by our universities. In this article, firstly, the historical process of distance education was examined, and then data were collected from the 3rd grade students studying in the faculty of education, fine arts education, painting-business education department, in order to determine the efficiency of the painting and graphic design main art workshop courses held in this process. . In order to make comparisons, 3rd grade students who have experienced both formal education and distance education were preferred as the sample group. Within the scope of the research, a questionnaire consisting of 30 questions was directed to 131 student from 5 universities selected from 5 different regions. 5 students were excluded from the study because they did not want to participate in the survey. In the explanatory factor analysis applied in the analysis of the data, the items (items 3, 5, 9, 10, 13, 16, 22, 23, 25, 26, 27, 30) that overlapped or whose factor load was below 0.30 were removed from the scale and the factor load was removed from the scale. The analysis was completed on the remaining 18 items. As a result of the research, we see that students find some aspects of distance education positive, but they think that this education model is not suitable for applied courses.
