Öğrencilerin sosyal kimlik ve teknoloji bağımlılığı arasındaki ilişkinin tarihsel ve kültürel açıdan incelendiği çalışma, Amasya’nın Merzifon ilçesinde çeşitli ortaöğretim kurumlarında eğitim gören Z Kuşağı mensubu 14-19 yaş arasındaki 284 öğrenci ile gerçekleştirilmiştir. Veri toplama aracı olarak araştırmacı tarafından uzman görüşleri ve literatüre dayalı bilgiler esas alınarak bir anket oluşturulmuştur. Teknolojinin bir bağımlılığa sebebiyet oluşturduğundan hareketle, öğrencilerin teknoloji ve internet bağımlılıkları ve bunların sosyal kimlik oluşumuna etkileri üzerinde durulmuştur. Zira günümüz Z Kuşağı, teknolojik araçları ve interneti hayatın birçok alanında yoğun olarak kullanmaktadır ve bu durum, kimlik kazanma döneminde olan gençleri daha fazla etkilediği anlaşılmaktadır. Kıyaslama yapabilmek adına çalışmada, teknoloji ile internetin tarihi gelişim süreçlerine değinilmiş ve sosyal kimlik oluşum üzerindeki değişimler incelenmektedir. Çalışmada sosyal kimlik oluşumunda internet bağımlılığının olumsuz ilişkisi korelasyon analizi ile incelenmiştir. Analiz neticesinde internet bağımlılığı ile sosyal kimlik ve olumsuz durumlar arasında pozitif yönlü yüksek düzeyli ilişki olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Elde edilen sonuçlar, tarihsel ve kültürel açıdan incelendiğinde teknoloji bağımlılığının öğrencilerin sosyal kimlik oluşumuna olumsuz etkisinin olduğunu göstermektedir.
The study, in which the relationship between students' social identity and technology addiction was examined historically and culturally, was carried out with 284 Generation Z students between the ages of 14-19, who study at various secondary education institutions in the Merzifon district of Amasya. As a data collection tool, a questionnaire was created by the researcher based on expert opinions and information based on the literature. Based on the fact that technology causes an addiction, students' technology and internet addiction and their effects on the formation of social identity are emphasized. Because today's Generation Z uses technological tools and the internet extensively in many areas of life and it is understood that this situation affects young people who are in the period of gaining identity more. In the study, in order to make a comparison, the historical development processes of technology and the internet are mentioned and the changes on social identity formation are examined. In the study, the negative relationship of internet addiction in social identity formation was examined by correlation analysis. As a result of the analysis, it was determined that there is a positive high-level relationship between internet addiction and social identity and negative situations. The results obtained, when examined historically and culturally, show that technology addiction has a negative effect on students' social identity formation.
