International Journal of Education and History Research (ETA Journal)

ETA Journal is a peer-reviewed and open-access e-journal aiming to bring high-quality, original, and scientific studies at the intersection of history and educational sciences to the international academic community. Our primary goal is to provide a reliable academic platform for research that analyzes historical processes through an educational perspective and contributes to theoretical/practical developments in the field of history education.

Our Scope

ETA Journal accepts studies in the following main areas with an interdisciplinary approach:

  • History: Original research belonging to all sub-disciplines and periods of historical science.
  • History of Education: Historical analysis of educational institutions, policies, philosophies, and educators from past to present.
  • History Education: Research on history teaching methods, curriculum analysis, course materials, and historical thinking skills.
  • Relationship between Educational Sciences and History: Studies within the scope of educational sciences that can establish an organic bond with a historical process by their subject matter.

Our journal publishes only the following types of studies that have passed the scrutiny of expert reviewers in their fields:

  • Academic Translations (Provided official permission is obtained from the relevant author/publisher)

⚙ Publication Info & Access Policy

  • Publication Frequency: ETA Journal is published twice a year (March and October).
  • Publication Language: The publication languages of our journal are Turkish and English. In addition, it includes Hungarian studies.
  • Open Access and Review Policy: Believing that universal knowledge should be freely and unhinderedly accessible, our journal adopts a Diamond Open Access policy. All articles are evaluated through a double-blind peer review process.
